Are you driven by a taste of discovery? then you will be fascinated by the magical wilderness of Morocco and its beautiful palm groves where you can start your Desert trek Morocco, Valley of Draa, strewn of Oasis, large dunes, village fortified in Ksours, many archaeological sites marked by rock sculptures, you will spend nights in tents and often under the stars, you will contemplate the sunrise and sunset, you will have to walk in the footsteps of camels following the road of the caravans, the unprecedented discovery of the universe of nomads and the charm of the desert where calm prevails.
Arrival to the airport of Marrakesh, reception and transport to the hotel.
guided tour in the red city, Marrakech with its main historical monuments.
Through the Tichka road of the High Atlas (2260 m). Visit the Glaoui Kasbah at Telouet. Continue to the Fortier village of Ait Ben Haddou which is classified as a world heritage. Dinner and night stay in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Crossing of the Anti-Atlas by the pass of Tinifift (1660 m) to reach the Valley of the Draa (Caravan road) marked by its former villages in Pisa (Ksours and Kasbahs). We drive along large Palm Groves to the South. Lunch in Zagora (gate of the desert). Afternoon we meet our camel team, load the luggage and then we will walk 2 hours to get to the first bivouac in the evening.
Walk to the rhythm and footsteps of the camel in the desert through dunes and oases of the Draa. We cross vast plateaus stony and fossilized, shady mostly by Palm trees and date palms and other trees like Acacia Radiana, Tamarix, and Taoursa (Kalotropis procera). On the fine sands of the dunes, we find traces of the Fennec, desert Fox, beetles and other small insects. It’s a simple nomadic and semi-nomadic life; you will have the opportunity to discover with their flocks (camels and goats) and their big black tents. We’ll enjoy the sunrise and sunset each day, relax, meditate, and the all-day-long-changing light. Keep an eye on the thousands of stars every evening this is the real Desert trek Morocco. The Cook will make the most delicious Moroccan dishes considering all tastes.
Day 12: Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Oulad Berhil.
Transport on 4 WDs through the dry lake Iriki to join the road to Foum Zguid, continue to Taznakhte, Aoulouz to Oulad Berhil, and the region of Taroudant. Dinner and night stay in the hotel.
Crossing High Atlas by Tizi-n-tast (2100 m). On the road, we will visit the Mosque of Tinmel. Dinner and night stay in a hotel in Marrakech.
